Well, you know things are bad when a communist nation lectures a “capitalist” country on monetary policy. But China is getting antsy about the U.S. dollar. So much so that they are getting more and more vocal about their angst. From the Wall Street Journal;

In remarks that come just days before U.S. President Barack Obama is set to visit China for the first time, Qin Gang, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, restated Beijing’s official line on China’s exchange-rate policy, saying the government will continue to reform its exchange-rate regime by boosting exchange rate flexibility while still keeping the yuan exchange rate basically stable.

But Qin also repeated China’s concerns about the U.S., calling on the U.S. government to maintain the medium- and long-term sustainability of its fiscal policy.

“This will be conducive to the stability of the U.S. dollar exchange rate and it will be conducive to China and the whole world,” Qin said.

In other words, “get your shit together and do something about your dollar.”

So let me get this straight, a famous abortion doctor gets brutally murdered in cold blood by some nut job and the White House releases a statement before his body is cold. An Army recruiter is murdered in cold blood by a Muslim extremist and it takes the White House two days to release a half assed statement about how the President is saddened.

I will ignore how the media had to know the background and ties to any pro-life groups that the abortion doctor murderer had, but didn’t seem to be very curious about the Army recruiter murder, or the murder suspect. I am much more ticked off that the White House holds an abortion doctor in higher esteem than a soldier in the United States Army. I am not surprised, just ticked off.

But I wonder what they would have done if the abortion doctor had been wearing an Army uniform when he was murdered? What if he was an abortion doctor AND an Army reservist one weekend a month? What would the White House have done?  Would the Obama Administration release a statement right away? Because he performed late term abortions, he is a hero on the ultra-left. But releasing a statement condemning a soldier’s murder too soon would anger Code Pink. What’s a socialist President to do?

 Alas we will never know. The only clues we have for my hypothetical scenario are the times of the two press releases. One man was a hero to many liberals; the other was an American hero. May God bless Pvt. William Long and his family. I pray for Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula, who was wounded in the attack, to have a speedy recovery.

FYI, the press release about the attack on the Army recruitment office is no longer on the White House website. The statement on Dr. Tiller’s murder is still there for you to read. Go figure……….
