Remembering 9/11: An Interview with Jedediah Bila

Three years ago I interviewed Jedediah Bila. It was shortly before the 9th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack. I had no idea how close she was to the World Trade Center on that day in 2001. She shared her experience, in depth, and talked about how it changed her life.

It’s an old interview, but it’s powerful. I’m lucky to now consider Jedediah a friend. I admire her for her courage: not only for everything she went through that day, but for recognizing that it’s best to follow your dreams. Not everybody would change their career path on a dime and take a leap of faith. I wish I had her guts.

Today on the 12th anniversary of that awful day, we remember the innocent victims-comfort those who lost loved ones-and reach out to people who were there and fortunate to get out alive.

God bless them all.
