Stunning political pundits today, President Obama announced that he rejected all four plans submitted to him regarding raising troop levels in Afghanistan. The President then went on to make an announcement that shook the Pentagon to its core.

“This morning, I made a decision to not send more troops to Afghanistan, ” Obama said. “The plans that were submitted looked no different to me than the failed policies that were implemented under the Bush Administration. “

Then he dropped the bombshell.

“I knew that I needed to come up with a plan all by myself. Let’s face it, I am the most brilliant man to ever hold this office. It’s up to me. It’s Obama time!”

“So I am pleased to announce that in lieu of sending more troops to Afghanistan, I am sending Lou Dobbs. He will be armed with nothing but a pocket knife and a bottle of Dewar’s. The richness of Lou’s life experience working for a network that drove millions of viewers away, and his immense hatred of people illegally crossing borders will make him the perfect man to patrol the Pakistan-Afghani border.”

Dobbs resigned from CNN on Wednesday. Immediately, there was speculation that he would run for the Senate. I tried to contact a CNN spokesman for comment, but my emails were unanswered. However, I did talk to CNN’s Larry King, who had this to say about the shocking news;

” I want my Ovaltine,” King said. “Waco, Texas hello! Caller? Caller? Ehh, next week we have some fantastic guests. Joy Baher, Dustin Diamond and Kathy Griffin. Wow, what a week!”

Bold statement Larry……

Liberals are mad, hopping mad thanks to the Stupak amendment. The amendment, added to the PelosiCare bill approved by the House on Saturday night, prohibits the use of federal dollars for providing abortions, either through a government plan or through a subsidized private insurance plan.

A letter sent to Speaker Pelosi from 40 members of the House made it clear that they will not support any final conference report that includes the amendment.

From The Hill;

Reps. Diana DeGette (Colo.) and Louise Slaughter (N.Y.) led the group of Democrats in writing to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) threatening to withhold support for a final conference report if it strictly prohibits federal funding for abortion services. 

“We will not vote for a conference report that contains language that restricts women’s right to choose any further than current law,” reads a draft of the letter. 

DeGette and Slaughter, who is the chairwoman of the powerful Rules Committee, also wrote President Barack Obama requesting a meeting on the issue next week.

What many liberals do not want to understand is that the federal government can restrict abortion and a woman’s “reproductive rights.” Many of the same liberals that love Pelosicare conveniently ignore mandates that this bill will impose on every American.

Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail.  The JCT Letter  makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.

In response to the JCT letter, Camp said:  “This is the ultimate example of the Democrats’ command-and-control style of governing – buy what we tell you or go to jail.  It is outrageous and it should be stopped immediately.”

There you have it liberals, the bill you want so badly to pass provides precedent for the government to control what you do with your body. If you do not have the “right to choose” whether or not you want to be a part of Pelosicare, then you really do not have the ultimate “right to choose” to have an abortion. At least abortion is still legal and you will not get thrown in jail for 5 years if you get one, yet…

Well, you know things are bad when a communist nation lectures a “capitalist” country on monetary policy. But China is getting antsy about the U.S. dollar. So much so that they are getting more and more vocal about their angst. From the Wall Street Journal;

In remarks that come just days before U.S. President Barack Obama is set to visit China for the first time, Qin Gang, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, restated Beijing’s official line on China’s exchange-rate policy, saying the government will continue to reform its exchange-rate regime by boosting exchange rate flexibility while still keeping the yuan exchange rate basically stable.

But Qin also repeated China’s concerns about the U.S., calling on the U.S. government to maintain the medium- and long-term sustainability of its fiscal policy.

“This will be conducive to the stability of the U.S. dollar exchange rate and it will be conducive to China and the whole world,” Qin said.

In other words, “get your shit together and do something about your dollar.”

In exchange for Rep. Anh Joseph Cao’s lone “Republican” yes vote on the PelosiCare Bill, President Obama offered Cao the DVD’s he gave Gordon Brown…

In a stunning move, Speaker Pelosi announced after the vote that her new target is hunger in America. “We need to provide free food for people that can’t afford it. Every night, millions of Americans go hungry while major corporations like Kraft Foods and Wal-Mart make billions of dollars. We will take down big grocery.”

In an office building in Harlem, New York, former President Bill Clinton was the angriest man in America.

After PelosiCare passed, the corpse of Ted Kennedy rose from the dead. He celebrated by getting drunk and driving his car into the river. 8 hours later, he told the Boston Herald, “I was confused.”

Mmmmm, Irony. It can be tasty. Get a load of this. U2 performed a free concert today in Berlin to celebrate the 20Th year of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Sounds great, except MTV built a 12 foot high wall to block many fans from being able to see the show.

Yes, MTV built a WALL to block the view of a FREE CONCERT.  A concert to CELEBRATE  the FALL of the BERLIN WALL!
